I love Frenchies!

Can you get any cuter? No that's not mine. I went round all the pet shops, apparently Frenchies are seriously expensive, around $4000 & above. Also it's very hard to get, as in they do not have many around.

So sad. I've to wait!

I think I should have a pet, A Frenchie

I think I should have a pet. A dog! Told my mum, & she went all crazy on me. Who's going to take care of it? I discuss with my brother, he agree we should have a dog , it's time. Time to learn responsibility . I ask my mum how am I ever going to take care of a husband if I cant deal with a pet? She called my auntie to complain about me. Something about dropping me on my head when I was a baby, & how it's all back to haunt her ...lol...

My auntie sms me, asking me to stop 'torturing ' my mum. Then her next sms ,she ask, "so what kind of dogs are you interested in?" ...lol...

I sent her Rock & his frenchie pups! She gave me a thumbs up ! And sent me Wolverine 's Frenchie! So it's set, I'm getting a Frenchie :)

Going to gym can relax?

My friend "Beanie" taught me a way to relax.
Go to the gym for one hour.
Stare at the other people there.
Go on the treadmill.
Carry some light weights.
Use some of the more complicated machines.
But now, I've to buy a set of gym wear first. Time to go shopping, which seems more fun !

Ooops.... I am my Mom !!!

It's funny how you realize the only care-taking skills you know of are your mother's. Which makes sense but to see it in action makes you feel... weird. The family is away for 10 day on a trip to Europe.

My younger brother is not feeling well.  I'm not feeling well either, but I'm feeling a lot better than he is. I mostly have a bad cold (ya I know strange right in this hot weather) That  means I walk around with frizzy hair, no makeup, breath through my mouth, constantly spit yellow phlegm into the sink, and reward myself with chocolate biscuits.

Poor Ben started off the weekend with a fever that (we think) peaked at 38.5 degrees C . We would know for sure except the second thermometer we bought in 3 days broke - not sure if it's made in China- too sick to check! I was really worried at first that he might have dengue, but it didn't sound like he had all of the symptoms and they weren't that severe. We bought some panadol and that seemed to help.

The fever subsided by the beginning of the week, but now as of yesterday he has diarrhea and painful stomach cramps. He went to the doctor, who basically has written it up to a stomach bug... but the cramps have gotten worse since then so a trip to the doctor again may be in order for tomorrow depending how he feels when he wakes up in the morning.

I started off this entry thinking I was going to write about how I find myself doing all these "mummy things"  to take care of him - making congee, buying soda (although I did cave to Ben's will and bought coke instead of 7up), and sweet, milky, egg-drop oatmeal. But now i just feel worried:

Today: Ben is back to craving ice cream and less than 2 bowel movements a day. Thanks for your concern, ya'll!

Leap Year Baby

Feb is a month full of happenings. There's the Lunar New Year & Valentine's day. However this year's celebrations seem a little toned down. Maybe because the economy is not doing that well. Next would be the 29th Feb- Leap year !!! Does it have any significance for you? Well you only see it once in 4 years. Probably not. WE are not a very happy lot are we?

It happens I do have a friend who is a leap year baby. She has been waiting 4 years to celebrate her birthday proper on the actual day. Every year she has to make do with celebrating it on the 28 feb. Come that day she'll go all sorrowful- it's painful to watch after knowing her for the past 20 years ....lol....

We were be going for a buffet & drinks on the 28th & stay through till midnight & after. Would be fun. The guest list is long. Can't wait:))

I could be the worst blogger in the world !

Boy... what a blogger I've turn out to be. Last year 2015, I've only 2 entries ...hahha...
I'll try to do better this year. It's not a contest right? Ok,  I've a friend who started her own blog the same time as me. And we sort of "vow" to keep it up, come rain or shine"

So far none of us has managed to do that !  If you look at successful blogs, people put in much hard work & time. Us??? Sigh.... I even forget to water my plants or make up my bed. Friends advise me to find a pet subject & stay in it.
Easy to say that huh???

The talented Canadians

Lunch yesterday was weird. Joe the American joined us & we learn a few things ....lol... According to him, Americans could be oboxious, pushy, neurotic, crass- anything & everything -the full 'castrophe. Canadians are none of that. He said he fear the Canadians & we all go "WHAT??????"

He explained: To the Canadians, everyone is equal. Bryan Adams is interchangeable to any guy in a karaoke. Jim Carey is no funnier than our boss (who's painfully not funny...lol...). And that's  no wonder the only Canadians anyone's ever heard of are the ones who have gotten the hell out. Anyone with talent who stayed would be flattened under an avalanche of equality. The thing Canadians don't understand is that some people are extraordinary and should be treated as such.

OK a little background is needed here. His girl friend is Canadian & she wants him to stay there & get a job there. He likes to travel around, he finds Singapore oddly interesting.
