Basically there are 2 types of aging: biological or intrinsic and extrinsic aging -due to environment.
Biological or intrinsic aging is determine by your genes so it happens to all of us. Though you cant change it, you can definitely slow it down!
-In your 30s, cell regeneration starts slowing down. So does collagen, elastin, & oil gland production. You don't look so fresh anymore! Face could be blotchy, dull, fine lines start appearing.
-In your 40s everything gets a little worse. As you continue to lose collagen & fats, skin lose the firmness gets dry. More wrinkles appear, hyperpigmentation become more & darker.
-In your 50s and above, the hormonal shifts of menopause with a dwindling of estrogen supply can cause lots of trouble. Lines & wrinkles deepen, lips thin, neck skin look wrinkled & drooping. Then there's gravity, & unfortunately some of us are prone to skin sagging !!! You might not feel old but your appearance will convince you that you are OLD!!!!
Extrinsic aging on the other hand is totally within our control!
Exposure to sun, smoking, late nights, stress: the 4 main culprits will age your skin & make you cry! That's the reason why an anti-aging regime is protecting your skin from these extrinsic factors in the first place!
